Dark cherries and plum with spicy notes of pepper and cinnamon. Rich smooth palate with soft tannins and a long finish.
95 Rating - James Halliday - Deeply coloured and deeply proportioned, its black fruits providing the playing field for the spices and licorice that are riddled through the core of the fruit; the left-field winemaking has worked well.
94 Rating - Nick Stock - This is a beautifully executed cool-climate shiraz that has perfectly captured spicy and fragrant fruit aromas on the nose. The aromatic punch of granitic soils is working well, lightly peppery, floral, and offering plenty of ripe red and dark plum fruits; oak is nicely woven in. The palate has succulent and polished textural appeal; ripe plum and black cherry flavors with threads of spice and pepper, plus smooth tannins that build and build. Very good wine here. Drink now and for 8+ years.

Matured in 38% new French Oak and 63% in 1-5-year-old French oak.
