Q. What is the difference between Syrah and Shiraz?
A.Syrah and Shiraz are two names for the same grape variety, but they are often used to describe different styles of wine. Syrah is typically used to describe wines that are lighter in body and alcohol, leaner, and with finer tannins. These wines are often associated with Old World expressions. Shiraz, on the other hand, is often used to describe wines that are richer, with riper aromas and fuller in both body and alcohol. These wines are generally associated with New World expressions.
del Rios style is a cool climate Syrah-styled Shiraz.
